Introducing Together Marathon County

Together Marathon County is a collaborative effort focused on strengthening the fabric of our community. Behind the volunteer hub technology is a dedicated team supporting a network of local partners who believe that when volunteerism thrives, everyone benefits.

We make volunteering easier for everyone

The Hub removes the friction that keeps people from volunteering. By simplifying search, sign-up, scheduling, and communication, we lower the barriers so more people can say yes – no matter their availability, comfort level, or experience.

We lift up volunteer engagement leaders

Volunteer engagement leaders carry a lot – logistics, communication, engagement, scheduling, and relationship-building. We exist to make their work lighter. Through practical tools, shared insights, and a collaborative network of peers, nonprofit leaders get the support they’ve long needed but rarely had.

We strengthen community connections

When nonprofits, employers, schools, and residents plug into the same ecosystem, the whole county benefits. The Hub helps align people, opportunities, and needs so volunteering becomes a shared community effort rather than an isolated one.

We help nonprofits attract the right contributors

Every volunteer profile tells a story through their interests, motivations, and skills. By giving coordinators clearer insight into who’s raising their hand, we help organizations bring in people who genuinely care about their mission and are ready to make an impact.

We bring people together. Serving with others builds community.

The task at hand is important, but volunteering is about belonging, purpose, and human connection. The Hub helps make plenty of volunteer opportunities accessible all the time so people can find each other, build relationships, and contribute to a stronger, more connected Marathon County.

We support businesses in creating meaningful engagement opportunities

Employers want to give their teams a way to contribute, feel connected, and strengthen culture. The Hub makes it easy to find team-friendly opportunities and make VTO meaningful – benefiting both employees and the community.

When people feel connected, they take pride in where they live

Communities thrive when people feel like they belong – when they see their efforts making a difference, and their neighbors stepping up too. The hub helps spark that kind of pride by making service more visible, accessible, and rewarding. It gives residents a way to get involved in what matters to them and reminds them that this is their community to shape. It’s a powerful tool to help people take ownership of the place they call home.

“As the Volunteer Manager at Good News Project, my connection with the Together Marathon County Volunteer Hub has been incredibly meaningful. Being part of this nonprofit community asset has strengthened my confidence as a coordinator and reminded me that we’re not doing this work alone. The collaboration, shared learning, and ongoing support has helped make our volunteer program at Good News Project stronger and more sustainable.”
